Raves for Mr. Reaper
|
"Mr. Reaper's Really Bad Morning is a wonderful tour de force of style and concept, I loved it"
Bill Plympton
Academy Award nominated animator
Your Face (1987) and Guard Dog (2004)
"Produced on film, but not produce-able without a computer is Mr. Reaper's Really Bad Morning by Kevin D.A. Kurytnik and Carol Beecher. This film will certainly make its way touring the festivals and audiences will unquestionable be crazy about it. Very rarely could one watch the Grim Reaper doing his work and be so amused by it. As shown in this short film, this terrific animation stands between cartoon and experimental film language, and can almost be called a classic piece from the Canadian animation school."

"Last night I went to the Ann Arbor Film Festival and saw your Mr. Reaper cartoon. I was really impressed with it. Great animation, story and comedy. I've found that rarely does a film of 17min keeps the audiences attention in these film festivals, but your film certainly did. Great work!"

"Carol Beecher and Kevin D.A. Kurytnik, two of the hardest-working independent animators from the prairies of Canada, have done Quickdraw Animation Society and their own company, Fifteen Pound Pink Productions, proud with Mr. Reaper’s Really Bad Morning. Much funny fodder for anyone on watch for the apocalypse and one can’t help but feel a little sympathy for Mister D. Well who hasn’t had a bad day?"
